Senior Staff Engineer, iOS - Communication and Connectivity

Airbnb, the global platform connecting over 5 million hosts with billions of guests worldwide, is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer for their iOS Communication and Connectivity team. This role sits within the Guest & Host organization, specifically focusing on the Communication and Connectivity team that manages critical tools used by millions daily, including Airbnb's second most-used feature - Messaging.

As a Senior Staff Engineer, you'll lead the development and enhancement of native messaging infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication experiences for users globally. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and improve existing systems, while maintaining high performance and scalability of messaging features.

The position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $244,000 to $307,000 USD, plus benefits including equity, bonus, and Employee Travel Credits. This is a remote-eligible position within the United States, with occasional office visits or offsites as needed.

The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of software engineering experience, strong Swift programming skills, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects. You'll be joining a team exclusively composed of native engineers working on high-visibility features that are part of bi-annual launches.
