Senior Staff Technical Program Manager, Data

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager for their Data Infrastructure team. This role will partner with Data engineering & product teams to enhance data-driven decision-making across multiple areas in Airbnb. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, understand the problem space, drive requirements, and apply storage & data expertise to solve strategic problems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning and driving storage initiatives related to data movement
• Collaborating with online & offline storage teams in designing and deploying platform functionality
• Consuming complex data to drive insights and create impactful stories
• Enabling cross-functional collaboration to solve high-priority company projects
• Supporting teams in delivering high-quality work across multiple tracks
• Influencing technical direction while upholding quality
• Showcasing team's work to senior leaders and communicating trade-offs, risks, and opportunities
• Proactively sharing context and helping the team connect their work with broader initiatives

The ideal candidate will have:

• 13+ years of work experience, with 11+ years as a TPM or relevant experience
• Experience with scalable, reliable storage big data systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to work through ambiguity
• Self-motivation and adaptability to different team operating cadences
• Sound business judgment and strong analytical skills
• Detail-oriented approach with the ability to understand the bigger picture
• Experience in cross-functional environments

This position is US - Remote Eligible, with occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites as agreed with the manager. Airbnb is committed to inclusion and belonging, working with a diverse talent pool to foster innovation and engagement.

The base pay range for this role is $224,000 - $280,000 USD, with potential eligibility for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
