Staff Web Engineer, Digital Accessibility

Airbnb is seeking a Staff Web Engineer specializing in Digital Accessibility to join their UI Foundation team. This role presents a unique opportunity to impact the accessibility of Airbnb's web platform, serving millions of guests and hosts globally. As part of the team that maintains Airbnb's design system and UI tooling, you'll be involved in all stages of product development, from conception to launch.

The Digital Accessibility team works closely with Product Engineering, QA, Design, and Product Marketing teams to create more inclusive user experiences. Your focus will be on building technical solutions, ranging from tooling to foundational capabilities, that scale accessibility coding practices across the organization. While primarily focused on hands-on development, you'll also contribute to educational resources and mentor other Web engineers on accessibility best practices.

The role combines technical leadership with accessibility expertise, requiring deep knowledge of web technologies, accessibility standards, and assistive technologies. You'll lead initiatives to integrate accessibility testing, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and guide improvement projects across multiple teams. Airbnb offers competitive compensation, including a strong base salary range of $204,000 to $260,000 USD, along with potential bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
