Staff Web Engineer, UI Foundation

Airbnb is seeking a Staff Web Engineer to join their UI Foundation team, a central cross-platform group responsible for empowering designers and engineers to create industry-leading user experiences. The role focuses on developing and maintaining Airbnb's Design Language System (DLS), motion innovation through Lottie, and ensuring digital accessibility across platforms.

As a Staff Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of creating and maintaining the foundational UI components that power Airbnb's user interfaces across web platforms. You'll work closely with Product Engineering, Design, and Product teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle. The position requires expertise in modern frontend technologies and a deep understanding of web development best practices.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building scalable frontend solutions, working with design systems, and implementing accessible web experiences. You'll be responsible for driving technical decisions that impact the entire frontend architecture at Airbnb, while also mentoring other engineers and contributing to the broader web development community.
