Senior Software Engineer, Data and AI Infra

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Data and AI Infra team in Singapore. As part of the engineering organization, you'll play a key role in building a globally distributed platform, increasing engineer productivity, and ensuring effective resource use. The Data Infrastructure team is responsible for providing data engineering and analytics teams with the right tools, developing and maintaining data infrastructure using technologies like Kafka, Flink, and Spark. You'll also create and enhance tooling and platforms to empower the engineering team with improved self-service capabilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing robust, scalable data infrastructure
• Developing scalable software applications with good self-service capabilities
• Conducting comprehensive testing and quality assurance
• Performing ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Engaging in continuous learning to stay updated with emerging technologies

Minimum qualifications:

• 5+ years of engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Extensive understanding of software development lifecycle
• Expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps
• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language
• Commitment to best practices in engineering, security, and design

Preferred qualifications:

• Data streaming engineering experience
• Experience with data streaming platforms like Kafka
