Senior Software Engineer, FinOS/Spend

Airwallex, valued at US$5.6 billion, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their FinOS/Spend team. This role, based in Singapore, is part of the Engineering and Spend departments. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in modern engineering practices, strong computer science fundamentals, and expertise in Java or Kotlin, Spring/Spring Boot. They should have experience with event-driven architectures, cloud platforms (preferably GCP), and observability tools. The role involves working on complex product features, contributing to the quality and delivery of products within the Spend team, and demonstrating leadership through engineering work. Key responsibilities include striving for technical excellence, producing high-quality solutions, designing and building REST APIs, fostering effective collaboration across multi-disciplinary squads, and solving complex challenges around data and feature complexity in credit cards, bills, and expenses. The Spend team works at the intersection of backend infrastructure and customer-facing applications, managing millions of transactions.
