As a Senior Software Engineer Fullstack, you'll be at the forefront of developing Airwallex's unified payments and financial platform. You'll work within a feature team, focusing on delivering business outcomes rather than just product features. Your responsibilities will include developing cloud-native, Kotlin-based microservices and exposing them via GraphQL to a React frontend. You'll also work with Kafka events/messaging, which forms a key part of the architecture.

Key responsibilities include designing and building new capabilities to support the product roadmap, conducting architectural reviews, reducing tech debt, and enhancing operational effectiveness. You'll be working with a modern tech stack including Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, GraphQL, React, and Kafka, as well as cloud platforms like GCP or AWS.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in modern engineering practices, with a strong focus on continuous integration and quality engineering. You should have a solid foundation in computer science and be comfortable with high-volume distributed systems. Experience with GraphQL APIs, Kafka event streams, and cloud platforms is crucial.
