Senior Software Engineer Fullstack / Frontend, DevX

Airwallex, the unified payments and financial platform for global businesses, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer Fullstack / Frontend for their Developer Experience (DevX) team. This role is based in San Francisco, USA, and offers a competitive salary range of $133,500 – $228,900, along with equity and other benefits.

As part of the DevX team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the customer's developer journey from discovery to building at scale. Your mission will be to provide an intuitive and well-organized onboarding experience, allowing developers to discover product details, learn implementation specifics, and develop independently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine and streamline the developer experience
• Ensuring APIs meet the highest standards and conventions
• Creating a next-in-class user and data analytics pipeline
• Building a world-class developer portal and docs with AI as a core feature
• Contributing to open source and fostering a developer community
• Incorporating the latest technologies and up-leveling the tech stack
• Developing external tools and services for customer release

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Passion for building delightful developer-facing products
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages like Typescript, Java, Kotlin, or Python
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with high-volume distributed systems
• Strong cloud experience, preferably with GCP or AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes

Preferred attributes include API design experience, financial domain knowledge, experience with major software migrations, and a background in both early-stage startups and large companies.
