Senior Software Engineer - Security Engineering

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Security Engineering team. As part of this role, you'll be responsible for keeping $100b+ in payments, 100,000s of customers, and thousands of employees safe. You'll have the opportunity to dive deep into the security program and partner with team members to identify impactful projects such as building internal automation tooling, owning terabyte-scale log pipelines, and using AI to streamline operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the development of security tools and applications
• Supporting incident response efforts
• Building and maintaining infrastructure including Kubernetes clusters and serverless workloads
• Identifying automation opportunities and developing tools
• Partnering with product engineering teams to drive security outcomes
• Mentoring other Software Engineers in the security team

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, ideally with security experience
• Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python) and systems programming languages (e.g., Golang, C/C++)
• Experience with modern cloud infrastructure
• Strong understanding of information security principles
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously
