Staff Software Engineer Backend, Developer Experience

Airwallex, valued at US$5.6 billion, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Developer Experience (DevX) team. As a unified payments and financial platform serving over 100,000 global businesses, we're looking for an experienced engineer to lead our developer experience initiatives.

The role focuses on overseeing our customer's developer journey from discovery to building at scale. You'll be responsible for creating intuitive onboarding experiences, ensuring developers can easily discover product details, learn implementation specifics, and develop independently. The position involves working with cutting-edge technologies and building world-class developer tools and documentation with AI integration.

As a Staff Engineer, you'll lead the development of user and data analytics pipelines, maintain high API standards, and contribute to open source projects. The role requires extensive experience in API development, strong technical expertise in Java/Kotlin, and cloud technologies. You'll work in a collaborative environment across product, engineering, and customer-success teams.
