Description For Staff Software Engineer, Lending

Airwallex, valued at US$5.6 billion, is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join their lending team in Singapore. As a global fintech leader with over 1,500 employees across 20+ offices, we're building a state-of-the-art lending platform and credit products suite.

In this role, you'll lead the technical direction for our lending products, focusing on launching embedded credit solutions for enterprise customers. You'll work with a talented engineering team based in Singapore, collaborating globally while maintaining full ownership of the lending platform.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in a staff-level position. You should excel in Java/Kotlin development, distributed systems, and cloud technologies (GCP/AWS). Your expertise in domain-driven design, event-driven architectures, and API development will be crucial for our success.

Requirements For Staff Software Engineer, Lending

  • 6+ years of experience in modern engineering practices
  • 2+ years of staff experience mentoring engineers
  • Strong computer science fundamentals and OOP concepts
  • Experience with domain driven design and event driven architectures
  • Experience with JVM based programming Java or Kotlin, familiar with Spring/Spring Boot
  • Experience with high throughput / low latency / high available distributed systems
  • Cloud experience with GCP or AWS with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with observability tooling (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus)
