The company develops both wireless security systems and proprietary software, including mobile applications for Android and iOS, as well as desktop applications for Windows and MacOS.

As a Middle QA Engineer (Apps), you'll be part of a dynamic team responsible for ensuring the quality of Ajax's mobile and desktop applications. These applications are crucial for users to connect, configure, and manage their security systems, with PRO versions offering additional specialized features for security and monitoring companies.

The role offers unique technical challenges, requiring deep understanding of system architecture across all levels - from device operations to GUI representation. You'll be involved in requirements analysis, test scenario development, and optimization of testing processes. The position demands strong analytical skills, experience with various development and testing tools, and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities For Middle QA Engineer (Apps)

  • Test new and existing functionality of mobile and desktop applications
  • Work with application logs
  • Perform regression testing
  • Develop and maintain test documentation: test cases, traceability matrix, test plan
  • Analyze business requirements in technical specifications and design
  • Work with custom QA Tools (Mock server, emulators)
  • Analyze automated test results
  • Participate in planning processes and task estimation
  • Work in a team with developers, automation engineers, PMs, business analysts, designers, and QA across platforms

Requirements For Middle QA Engineer (Apps)

Linux
  • 2+ years of experience in manual testing of mobile applications
  • Excellent knowledge of testing theory
  • Ability to apply test design techniques
  • Knowledge of SDLC
  • Experience with business requirements and technical specifications
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Testrail (or alternatives)
  • Understanding of Windows/MacOS/Linux and Android/iOS operating systems
  • Experience with application logs
  • Experience with Xcode, Android studio, PyCharm
  • Basic understanding of client-server architecture
  • Experience with Git and Jenkins
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to find defects and establish cause-effect relationships
  • High level of self-organization
