This role combines systems engineering with Atlassian expertise, focusing on maintaining and improving custom applications through Atlassian tools. Responsibilities For Atlassian Applications Engineer (Systems Engineer)

  • Ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement of custom-built addons and plugins
  • Administer, enhance, and optimize Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) and SQL databases
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts using Adaptavist ScriptRunner and Groovy
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Provide technical support and solutions to development teams
  • Collaborate with Atlassian Change Committee on system changes
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum or Kanban ceremonies
  • Develop IT Asset Management using Assets
  • Install, update, and maintain Atlassian services in Linux and Windows environments
  • Document developed scripts, workflows, and processes
  • Build workflows and automation for self-serve Atlassian product usage

Requirements For Atlassian Applications Engineer (Systems Engineer)

  • Proficiency in Groovy, Bash, and PowerShell
  • Strong programming skills in Java or Python
