Description For Quality Engineer - Connected Ecosystem

Quality Engineers on the Connected Ecosystem team at Alarm.com are responsible for testing the integration of a wide variety of smart home devices within Alarm.com's ecosystem. This position focuses on functional testing of end-to-end systems, providing an opportunity to engage with the full depth of their products, working with software, firmware, and hardware.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding product functionality and system architecture
  • Writing test plans and updating documentation
  • Manual testing of features/products and defect tracking
  • Writing high-quality bug tickets
  • Analyzing logs and data to identify root causes
  • Setting up and maintaining test environments
  • Triaging urgent issues and proposing resolutions
  • Configuring and monitoring automation setups
  • Assessing risk and determining test strategies
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure product quality

Requirements For Quality Engineer - Connected Ecosystem
