The position focuses on ensuring the seamless integration of various smart home devices within Alarm.com's ecosystem through comprehensive testing. As a Quality Engineer, you'll be involved in end-to-end system testing, working across software, firmware, and hardware components. Responsibilities For Quality Engineer

  • Understanding product functionality and system architecture
  • Writing test plans and updating test documentation
  • Manually testing features/products and tracking defects
  • Writing high quality bug tickets
  • Analyzing logs and data to identify root causes
  • Setting up and maintaining test environments and equipment
  • Triaging urgent issues and proposing resolutions
  • Configuring and monitoring automation setups
  • Assessing risk and determining test strategy
  • Interacting with stakeholders and engineering teams

Requirements For Quality Engineer

  • 0-2 years of QA experience in an agile environment
  • B.A. or B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar
  • Ability to work across hardware, software, and network technologies
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret complex technical information
  • Process-oriented with attention to details
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Team focused with proven collaborative experience
