As a Senior Backend Engineer on our Core Product team, you'll work directly with our technical CEO, CTO, and engineering team to build critical software that impacts our users and business. You'll be responsible for developing user-facing functionality in our web app and add-ins, helping finance teams extract insights from their data.
We're seeking someone who can thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment, taking ownership of projects from start to finish. You'll be instrumental in establishing best practices and building the foundation for our high-performing technology team. Responsibilities For Senior Backend Engineer, Core
- Work hand-in-hand with leadership and teammates to prioritize and execute on product roadmap
- Design, develop and own complex features or software components
- Deliver robust, scalable, and well-tested code
- Help develop and establish best practices
- Collaborate with Customer Support and Operations teams
- Build observability into systems and monitor their performance
Requirements For Senior Backend Engineer, Core
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
- 1+ years of experience contributing to system design or architecture
- Solid background in algorithms and data structures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous startup experience or experience in unstructured environment
- Comfortable working in a remote team
- Product-driven engineer with customer empathy
