Description For Field Sales Engineer - Southern TX Area Territory

Allied Machine & Engineering, a leading manufacturer of holemaking and finishing cutting tool systems based in Dover, Ohio, is seeking a growth-minded Field Sales Engineer for the Southern Texas territory. This hybrid position combines technical expertise with sales acumen to manage and grow the company's presence in the region.

The role involves developing and executing territory business plans, maintaining relationships with distributors and end users, and providing technical product expertise. The ideal candidate will have an engineering or technology background, with machining experience being a plus. However, the company offers a comprehensive FSE Training Program for the right candidate.

Responsibilities For Field Sales Engineer - Southern TX Area Territory

  • Develop a territory business plan with identified target accounts
  • Maintain and develop additional end user business at existing accounts
  • Expand new end user accounts
  • Develop and maintain a list of end users within the territory
  • Establish and maintain distributor relationships
  • Review and recommend adjustments to distributor stocking and discount programs
  • Motivate distributor sales personnel to increase company sales
  • Maintain a high degree of technical proficiency regarding all company products
  • Develop OEM accounts within your territory
  • Conduct workshops or seminars with distributors and end users
  • Maintain timely reporting procedures
  • Identify new opportunities

Requirements For Field Sales Engineer - Southern TX Area Territory

  • 2 Year engineering or technology degree or comparable work experience, 4 year degree preferred
  • Machining experience preferred
  • Problem solving skills
  • Communication skills both oral and written
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Salesforce
