Responsibilities For Manufacturing Engineer

  • Lead maintenance on all production furnace and ancillary equipment
  • Support and improve processes in the metallurgy operation
  • Evaluate process and equipment, simulate, optimize and modify for efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate with equipment manufacturers and steel suppliers
  • Create/Modify manufacturing work instructions, SOPs, and training manuals
  • Train associates on department procedures
  • Operate and set-up equipment throughout the facility
  • Provide on-site or on-call support outside normal working hours
  • Travel as needed for position requirements

Requirements For Manufacturing Engineer

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Material Science or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Preferred Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Preferred 5 years experience in vacuum heat-treating operations
  • Experience with PM and MIM technology
  • 3 years experience in Six Sigma DMAIC
  • SPC and CAD experience
  • Leadership abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CAD Software
  • Good understanding of manufacturing process
  • Willingness to travel
