ALL.SPACE is seeking an Embedded Software Tester to join their team in Reading, UK. This role involves ensuring the quality of ALL.SPACE's terminal products through comprehensive testing of embedded real-time terminal control software, web interfaces, and REST APIs. Working within an Agile development team, you'll be responsible for planning, specifying, designing, and executing both manual and automated tests. Responsibilities For Embedded Software Tester
- Understand software requirements and contextual scope
- Plan, design, document, develop and execute manual & automated software tests
- Develop automated tests using tools and languages like Python
- Work with simulations for off-target testing
- Develop on-target tests, controlling external test equipment
- Record, investigate and assist in defect resolution
- Support integration, system testing and customer usage
- Work within the team's Agile framework
Requirements For Embedded Software Tester
- Experience in testing software on embedded devices (satcom, telecom or network devices preferred)
- Experience in web interface and REST API testing
- Ability to define and document high coverage test cases from requirements
- Ability to test corner cases and error conditions
- Capable of preparing testing evidence for regulatory submissions
- Knowledge in automation and regression tests using scripted languages like Python
- Understanding of Source Code Management and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of software lifecycle methodologies and best practice
- Good self-organizational skills and attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills and collaborative team spirit
