Senior Machine Learning Developer

AltaML's Venture Studio is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Developer to play a pivotal role in building and scaling high-impact AI focused early stage venture ideas. This position is ideal for an engineer with a strong foundation in classical machine learning techniques and experience in transformer-based models across multiple data modalities.

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will:

• Rapidly prototype end-to-end machine learning solutions
• Collaborate with product managers and founders to shape venture roadmaps
• Apply technical due diligence to evaluate venture ideas
• Build AI/ML solutions from ideation to production
• Partner with stakeholders to define and refine venture roadmaps
• Assess the feasibility and potential impact of venture ideas
• Work alongside the lead engineer on system design decisions
• Implement and iterate on features quickly
• Contribute to enhancing internal processes, tooling, and development standards

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of applied AI/ML experience
• Technical leadership and project ownership experience
• Strong collaboration skills
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field (Master's preferred)
• Proficiency in Python and associated libraries
• Experience with popular foundational model APIs
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices
• An innovation-driven mindset
