ALUMIL, a leading architectural aluminium systems manufacturer with over 30 years of experience, is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join their technical support team. This role is crucial in maintaining the company's IT infrastructure and providing exceptional support to their 3,000+ employees across 12 factories in Europe.

As an IT Support Engineer, you'll be the first point of contact for technical issues, responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving various technical problems. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and strong customer service skills, as you'll be working directly with employees to ensure their technology needs are met efficiently.

The ideal candidate should have a BSc in Computer Science or related field, with at least 2 years of experience in IT support. Strong knowledge of Windows systems, hardware troubleshooting, and networking is essential. Responsibilities For IT Support Engineer

  • Provide first and second-level IT support to end-users
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure
  • Install and configure operating systems and software applications
  • Document support requests and resolutions in ticketing system
  • Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets
  • Train end-users on software applications and IT policies
  • Collaborate with IT team members to improve systems and processes
  • Contribute to IT policies and best practices development
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
  • Resolve technical problems of computers, networks and telephones

Requirements For IT Support Engineer

Linux
  • BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related role
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
  • Expertise in diagnosing Windows issues and understanding of Operating Systems
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware issues and networking/security best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus
