Description For IT Support Engineer

Join ALUMIL as an IT Support Engineer in a role that combines technical expertise with customer service excellence. As a key member of our IT team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure while providing crucial support to our workforce of 3,000+ employees across 12 European factories.

Responsibilities For IT Support Engineer

  • Provide first and second-level IT support to end-users, assisting with hardware, software, and network issues
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues by performing root cause analysis and developing solutions
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and network devices
  • Install and configure operating systems and other software applications
  • Document support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system
  • Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets
  • Train end-users on software applications and IT policies
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to improve systems, processes, and service delivery
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and best practices
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and propose improvements

Requirements For IT Support Engineer

  • BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field
  • Previous experience in IT support or related role
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
  • Expertise in diagnosing Windows issues and understanding of Operating Systems
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware issues and networking security best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus
