Description For Air Quality Engineer, Dispersion Modeller, AWS Environmental

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're looking for an Air Quality Engineer with a strong focus on air dispersion modeling to play a key role in air permitting and air quality compliance for new and existing AWS facilities in the Americas (AMER) region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading air dispersion modeling work in AMER
  • Developing air dispersion modeling tools and mechanisms
  • Collaborating with various business units on environmental compliance
  • Managing contracts, budgets, and relationships with environmental consultants
  • Preparing air permit applications in AMER
  • Building effective relationships with regulatory bodies
  • Consulting on strategies to reduce environmental impact of air emissions

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience with air dispersion modeling analyses (AERMOD)
  • 5+ years of experience with air quality regulatory assessments
  • 5+ years of experience with air permitting at local, state, and federal levels
  • 3+ years of experience with engine-specific regulations
  • Strong project management and communication skills
