Description For Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineer, IREO

AWS Infrastructure Services (IREO team) is seeking a dedicated Cloud Engineer to support the Intelligence Community's mission. This role combines technical expertise with operational excellence in managing large-scale distributed systems. You'll be part of a team that maintains AWS's global infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of availability, scalability, and security.

The position requires strong Linux/Unix administration skills and the ability to work with various service owners and hardware design teams. You'll be responsible for supporting and maintaining software services, implementing automation, and being a key escalation point for complex technical issues. A significant aspect of the role involves working with internal development teams to improve systems and services.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with Linux or cloud platforms, current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and a passion for automation and problem-solving. Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, CloudWatch) and scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Bash) is highly valued. You'll join a diverse team of engineers and specialists working on challenging problems that impact AWS's global infrastructure.
