Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking talented AWS Dedicated Cloud Engineers to join our Region Reliability Engineering & Automation (RRE&A) team. Our mission is to ensure the seamless operation of AWS's dedicated cloud regions through proactive reliability engineering, automation, and leading-edge solutions.

The role focuses on creating resilient cloud systems for mission-critical operations, applying AI technologies like Amazon Bedrock, and maintaining large-scale cloud infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing innovative automation solutions to reduce manual intervention and cognitive load
  • Expanding regional coverage for AWS's critical services
  • Conducting deep dives into system interdependencies
  • Collaborating with industry-recognized engineers
  • Supporting U.S. Intelligence and Defense agencies with secure cloud solutions

The position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. You'll work in an entrepreneurial environment within AWS's Utility Computing (UC) organization, supporting foundational services like S3 and EC2.

  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • 5+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows or Networking)
  • 3+ years experience with cloud computing, DevOps, or site reliability engineering
  • 5+ years of experience using debugging and systems analysis skills
  • 3+ years of experience with at least one scripting or programming language
  • 3+ years of experience with the Linux command line interface
