Amazon Robotics - Front End Engineer (FEE) Co-op - July-Dec 2024

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Front End Engineer Co-op for a 6-month position from July to December 2024. The role is part of the Simulation Execution Analysis & Management Team, focusing on building tools to simulate and explore new robotic solutions. The ideal candidate should have experience in front-end development using REACT.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying and developing software solutions for current business problems
• Creating milestones and deliverables with the team
• Participating in daily scrums and reviews
• Developing design documentation and leading reviews
• Writing code, unit tests, and integrating with other software components
• Working directly with customers to test prototypes and incorporate feedback
• Utilizing Amazon Robotics and Amazon engineering tools, processes, and technologies

The position is planned to be in the Boston, MA office, with options to work from North Reading, MA or Westborough, MA.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in college/university with at least one semester left after the co-op
• Available for a full-time (40h/week) 6-month co-op from July 15 to December 20, 2024
• Completed at least junior year of degree program, graduating in December 2024 or later
• Working towards a B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, applied math, or related field
• Experience in JavaScript/NodeJS, Python, Java, or C++

Preferred qualifications:

• Candidate for MS in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering
• Front-end experience with Web frameworks such as React, Angular, and NodeJS
• Experience or desire to learn TypeScript and testing frameworks like Selenium
