Amazon's Event Productions team is seeking a Venue Systems Admin Engineer II to lead and oversee the programmatic health and maintenance of production systems for Event Production Venues across AMER. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on system engineering, requiring expertise in broadcast technology, live production environments, and team leadership. The position involves working directly with company leadership to support high-impact events through system engineering operations and deployments.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in audio, video, and lighting systems, combined with expertise in IP-based broadcast technologies and networking. You'll lead system engineering programs, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the successful delivery of live event production sites. Responsibilities For AMER Venue Systems Admin Engineer II (EP), Event Productions, IT Services

  • Lead System Engineering programmatic scrum meetings for project burndown
  • Ensure maintained health and success of all production equipment in AMER venues
  • Lead system engineering program to improve and retrofit live production systems
  • Scale designs in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Track and maintain systems engineering project delivery timelines
  • Create project standards documentation and SOPs
  • Conduct research and evaluate emerging technologies in broadcast space
  • Participate in System Engineering project planning for venue productions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partner groups and stakeholders

Requirements For AMER Venue Systems Admin Engineer II (EP), Event Productions, IT Services

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, IT, computer science, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of influencing and motivating technical teams across multiple locations
  • 5+ years with video over IP technologies including SMPTE 2110, PTP, and NMOS
  • 5+ years of networking (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP)
  • 8+ years in event production/broadcast television/entertainment/theatre production
  • Strong background in audio, video, and lighting system design deployment
  • Deep systems knowledge of live and studio production engineering
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 35-40% of the time
