Amazon Logistics is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to drive standardization and innovation in physical infrastructure, layout, and material flow across their Last Mile delivery network. Based in Dubai with travel to Egypt and Saudi Arabia, this role combines engineering expertise with strategic planning to enhance Amazon's delivery operations.

The position involves producing and refining process standards, developing physical infrastructure, and designing Amazon Logistics equipment for emerging countries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all infrastructure meets safety, customer experience, capacity, quality, and cost goals. This role requires collaboration with field leaders, operational support functions, and worldwide counterparts.

The successful candidate will need strong leadership abilities, deep customer focus, and exceptional project management skills. They will work with AutoCAD for layout design, manage building infrastructure requirements, and lead cross-functional projects. Responsibilities For AMET Design/Project Engineer, Amazon Logistics

  • Define building infrastructure requirements and calculate capacities of buildings
  • Draft test fit layouts in AutoCAD and research building/site information
  • Prepare specifications and technical details for building environment, equipment, material, process and services
  • Review technical documentation including building layouts, traffic plans, flow diagrams
  • Lead cross-functional infrastructure projects
  • Drive continuous improvement of team processes
  • Coordinate project teams including project managers, engineers, and contractors

Requirements For AMET Design/Project Engineer, Amazon Logistics

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or technology
  • 4+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
  • Experience working with Material handling equipment (MHE)
