Responsibilities For Application Security Engineer, AWS Proactive Security
- Conduct application security reviews including architecture reviews, threat modeling, and code reviews
- Perform security reviews for Web applications, Cloud infrastructure, and IoT devices
- Work with product developers across hardware and software teams to incorporate security from design phase
- Create security guidance documentation & workflow automation
- Contribute to security metrics and process improvements
- Assist with recruiting activities
- Help ensure devices, applications, services, and systems meet highest security standards
Requirements For Application Security Engineer, AWS Proactive Security
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of security engineering experience
- Knowledge of commonly found software security vulnerabilities (OWASP top 10)
- Experience with security architecture reviews, threat modeling, code reviews & secure testing
- Understanding of system and network security, authentication, security protocols, cryptography & application security
