Responsibilities For Automation & Controls Engineer, GSE Automation, Project Kuiper

  • Design, commission, and support automated controls applications for Project Kuiper satellite production and test
  • Create automated test and manufacturing applications using Ignition SCADA, Siemens TIA Portal, and in-house software tools
  • Conduct formal risk assessment and mitigation for safety critical automated systems
  • Commission and troubleshoot integrated electro-mechanical systems
  • Work with Project Kuiper design and manufacturing teams to implement industrial automation solutions
  • Contribute to the overall architecture for a high-performing, connected, safe and maintainable factory

Requirements For Automation & Controls Engineer, GSE Automation, Project Kuiper

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years experience developing and deploying automated systems to a production manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee due to export control laws
