Responsibilities For Battery Management System (BMS) Hardware Development Engineer II, Prime Air

  • Design and develop power electronics hardware and related electrical power systems for Prime Air Drones
  • Design, develop, and test Battery Management System (BMS) hardware for Li-ion batteries
  • Design and test analog/digital devices components
  • Perform electrical analyses, circuit simulation, and PCB layouts
  • Support engineering trades and interact with suppliers/partners
  • Develop hardware and component level requirements/specifications
  • Perform prototype hardware and systems testing in labs
  • Perform formal verification testing including DO-160 and DO-254
  • Support BMS software development and testing per DO-178

Requirements For Battery Management System (BMS) Hardware Development Engineer II, Prime Air

Linux
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • Minimum 4+ years' experience developing Battery Management Systems(BMS) for Li-Ion batteries
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles
  • Experience programming microcontrollers and designing embedded systems
  • Experience in PCB design and layout
  • System-Level Design and Integration experience
  • Experience designing and analyzing inverter and converter circuits
  • Knowledge and experience with embedded control of power electronic circuits
  • Experience leading PCBA Board bring-Up, validation testing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment
