AWS Analytics team is seeking a BI Engineer to join their small but impactful central group within AWS Support. This role combines hands-on data analysis with strategic thinking, focusing on powering automation and self-service driven customer journeys for AWS customers. The position offers unique opportunities to work with AWS's comprehensive cloud platform, which serves millions of customers worldwide.

The Analytics team comprises diverse skill sets including strategy & planning, Machine Learning/predictive analytics, and Business Intelligence. Team members are responsible for developing hypotheses, uncovering key insights, and creating actionable recommendations across AWS's product portfolio. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex, unstructured problems and working directly with leadership to implement data-driven solutions.

As a BI Engineer, you'll work with various analytics tools and technologies, including SQL, Python, and data visualization platforms. You'll be responsible for building ETL pipelines, conducting statistical analyses, and creating impactful visualizations that drive business decisions. Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse
  • Python scripting experience to process data for modeling
