Description For Business Intelligence Engineer

Amazon's Delivery Experience (DEX) team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to drive data-driven decisions for their innovative delivery programs. This role sits within the Convenience programs team, which includes Amazon Day and Scheduled Delivery services, allowing customers to choose their preferred delivery times. As a BIE, you'll be instrumental in developing analytics tools and mechanisms to power customer insights and program performance metrics.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with large-scale data sets and impact millions of customers' delivery experiences. You'll be responsible for creating sophisticated analyses, designing experiments, and building scalable business intelligence platforms that drive key decisions. Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer

  • Own design, development, and maintenance of performance metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards
  • Apply analytics and data mining techniques to solve complex problems
  • Design and architect data pipelines and data models
  • Build scalable solutions and self-serve platforms for business reporting
  • Build data visualizations to communicate insights
  • Develop new metrics and studies to quantify customer behavior
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Improve recurring reporting and analysis processes

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse
  • Python scripting experience to process data for modeling
