Business Intelligence Engineer

Amazon Shipping (SWA) is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to enhance their pick-up experience and reduce first-mile costs. This role is crucial in managing the complex logistics network that handles millions of package movements daily. You'll be part of Amazon's sophisticated delivery infrastructure, working on forecasting, monitoring, and optimization of package movements across the network.

As a Senior BIE, you'll lead data initiatives for First Mile and Pickup programs, working directly with senior leadership to drive strategic decisions. The role combines technical expertise in SQL, data analysis, and visualization with business acumen to improve operational efficiency. You'll be responsible for developing metrics, creating dashboards, and automating reporting processes that directly impact business decisions.

The position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse team of Applied Scientists, Software Development Engineers, and other BIEs. You'll contribute to critical projects in Volume Forecasting and Capacity Planning while mentoring junior team members. The role requires strong technical skills in SQL, statistical analytics, and data visualization tools, along with excellent communication abilities to work across functional teams.
