Description For Business Intelligence Engineer, Enterprise Protection Program

We are seeking a motivated Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our insider risk organization within Amazon Security. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing innovative BI solutions that guide your team and Amazon leadership to proactively address internal risk.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing large-scale, insider-threat focused BI solutions
  • Defining and refining data strategies across teams
  • Delivering robust, extensible, and scalable BI solutions for complex problems
  • Communicating effectively with senior management through documents, reports, dashboards, and business reviews
  • Mentoring and developing team members

You'll spend most of your time advancing two core objectives:

  1. Designing and implementing high-visibility (VP, CISO, Chief Security Officer level) business intelligence solutions
  2. Collaborating with upstream and partner teams to influence data architecture

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of professional or military experience
  • 5+ years of SQL experience
  • Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
  • Experience with AWS technologies
