Description For Business Intelligence Engineer, EU AMZL Business Intel, Analytics and Tools (BAT)

The goal of Amazon Logistics is to build a world-class last mile operation. Amazon aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders are delivered as quickly, accurately, and in the most cost-effective way as possible. This role is for a passionate, dynamic, analytical, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed business intelligence engineer.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with large datasets and distributed computing technologies. They relish working with large volumes of data, enjoy the challenge of highly complex technical contexts, and, above all else, are passionate about data and analytics. They are an expert with data modeling, ETL design and business intelligence tools, has hands-on knowledge of columnar databases such as Redshift and other related AWS technologies.

The candidate passionately partners with customers to identify strategic opportunities in the field of data engineering. They are a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail) and enjoy working in a fast-paced team that continuously learns and evolves on a day-to-day basis.

About the team: AMZL EU BAT is a central analytics team within the Supply Chain organization of Amazon Logistics, specialized in automation, reporting and forecasting.

The role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and large-scale data in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making and improving the efficiency of Amazon's logistics operations.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, EU AMZL Business Intel, Analytics and Tools (BAT)

  • Analyze and interpret large datasets
  • Create data visualizations and reports
  • Design and implement data models and ETL pipelines
  • Perform statistical analysis and data mining
  • Collaborate with customers to identify strategic opportunities in data engineering

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, EU AMZL Business Intel, Analytics and Tools (BAT)

Python
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse
  • Scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in the data/BI space
