Description For Business Intelligence Engineer - Fire TV, FireTV

The Amazon Fire TV Team is seeking a passionate and solution-oriented Business Intelligence Engineer to build analytical solutions that deepen our understanding of customers, influence innovation, and deliver actionable insights. In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with Fire TV Marketing and Engagement teams, Data Science, Product, and Data Engineers across Amazon Devices.
  • Utilize analytic tools and languages (notably SQL) and present results using written summaries and visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Develop scalable solutions and self-serve platforms for data-driven decision making.
  • Investigate data sources across Amazon and expand existing device data infrastructure.
  • Conduct analyses to uncover opportunities and present business recommendations for device customer engagement, sales, and marketing.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer behavior, competitive product trends, and business drivers.
  • Analyze key insight trends and build predictive models of customer behavior.
  • Provide analytical support to finance and product management teams.
  • Analyze data to help product teams improve key business metrics and customer experience.
  • Propose and prioritize changes to reporting and create additional metrics based on program changes and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Enabling decision-making by aggregating data from multiple sources
  • Architecting standardized data models for analysis and long-term reporting
  • Analyzing large data sets using database query and visualization tools
  • Providing technical expertise in data extraction, integration, and analysis
  • Designing and developing key performance metrics and indicators
  • Performing ad hoc analysis for time-sensitive operational issues
  • Communicating potential discrepancies and reporting downtime
  • Translating business requirements into technical requirements
  • Managing multiple projects and communicating priorities effectively

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer - Fire TV, FireTV

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
