Amazon's Transportation Engineering Systems Team (TESS) is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer I to join their dynamic team. This role combines data analysis, business intelligence, and engineering to drive critical decisions in Amazon's transportation systems. Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer I, TESS

  • Own design, development, and maintenance of metrics, reports, analysis, and dashboards
  • Write high quality SQL code to retrieve and analyze data
  • Propose and define metrics to track business performance
  • Formulate analytical business problem statements and present insights
  • Develop clear communications for recommended actions
  • Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for tracking and reporting
  • Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify risks
  • Work with program managers and business owners on critical initiatives

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer I, TESS

Python
  • 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with industry analytics visualization tools and statistical methods
  • Experience with scripting language (Python, Java, or R)
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design (preferred)
  • Master's degree or Advanced technical degree (preferred)
