Description For Business Intelligence Engineer II, DSP Analytics

Amazon's DSP Analytics Team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to make an impact on the Amazon's Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to build decision-driven analytics solutions for critical work in Amazon's delivery operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and executing end-to-end analytics solutions
  • Building high-quality data architecture and ETL pipelines
  • Analyzing data using Amazon's technologies (Redshift, AWS S3, etc.)
  • Designing and maintaining automated reporting and dashboards
  • Partnering with scientists to scale and expand models
  • Collaborating with data engineering and software development teams

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  • Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipelines
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Quicksight
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Experience with statistical analysis packages (R, SAS, Matlab)

Preferred qualifications include experience with AWS solutions and working with large-scale, complex datasets in a business environment.

  • Earn trust of customers and stakeholders by obsessing over their business use cases and data needs
  • Manage and execute analytics solutions end-to-end
  • Build high quality data architecture and ETL data pipelines
  • Retrieve and analyze data using Amazon's data technologies
  • Design, build, and maintain automated reporting and dashboards
  • Report key insight trends using statistical rigor

  • Work with DE and software development teams to enable appropriate data capture and storage

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer II, DSP Analytics

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
