Description For Business Intelligence Engineer II, DSP Analytics

Amazon's DSP Analytics Team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to drive improvements in their Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program. This role focuses on enhancing delivery experiences through data-driven insights and analytics solutions. You'll work in the Last Mile delivery space, collaborating with engineering teams, product managers, and organization leaders to improve business health and capacity planning.

The position offers an opportunity to work with Amazon's advanced data technologies, including Redshift, AWS S3, and various internal platforms. You'll be responsible for building ETL pipelines, creating automated reporting systems, and delivering actionable insights that drive business decisions. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in SQL and Python, and experience with data visualization tools.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer II, DSP Analytics

  • Build decision-driven analytics solutions for DSP program
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions
  • Build high quality data architecture and ETL data pipelines
  • Design and maintain automated reporting and dashboards
  • Analyze data using Amazon's data technologies
  • Report key insight trends using statistical rigor
  • Mentor junior BI engineers
  • Work with stakeholders to expand and scale data solutions across regions

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer II, DSP Analytics

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL and Python to process data for modeling
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
