Description For Business Intelligence Engineer, Infrastructure Finance Business Intelligence and Transformation

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join their Infrastructure Supply Chain Finance (SCF) organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of cloud computing by building a scalable, predictive, and prescriptive business analytics platform. As part of the Finance Analytics team, you'll work alongside Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Data Engineers to drive data-informed decisions.

The position requires expertise in AWS solution stacks including Redshift, S3, Glue, and Data Pipeline, along with proficiency in reporting tools like Tableau and Alteryx/KNIME. You'll be responsible for developing sophisticated analytics solutions, creating KPI dashboards, and implementing metrics that drive key supply chain, financial, and procurement decisions.

This role offers competitive compensation ranging from $89,600 to $185,000 based on location and experience, plus additional benefits including equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive medical coverage. You'll be working with large-scale, complex datasets in AWS's dynamic environment, using cutting-edge technology to solve challenging business problems.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, Infrastructure Finance Business Intelligence and Transformation

  • Develop and implement scalable and reliable analytics, tools, KPI dashboards, and metrics
  • Design and implement metrics dashboards to deepen understanding of cost structures
  • Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Engineering teams
  • Develop and implement analytics to improve continuity of supply and operational efficiencies
  • Apply automation for maximum scale and self-service ability
  • Interface with Data Engineers, Business Analysts and stakeholders
  • Employ data mining and analytical techniques to capture important trends
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, Infrastructure Finance Business Intelligence and Transformation

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
