AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join their Intel & Reporting team within the Global Network Deployment (GND) organization. This role is crucial in supporting AWS's infrastructure operations, which encompasses the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The position involves working with massive datasets to produce insights, dashboards, and planning models that drive strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end data analytics projects, collaborating with various teams including demand planning, finance, and networking. You'll utilize advanced BI tools to create comprehensive visualizations and analyses that influence business direction. The role requires expertise in SQL, data visualization tools like Tableau, and strong analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, Intel & Reporting

  • Own data analytics projects from beginning to end
  • Establish baseline metrics and analytics
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Interface with business customers and gather requirements
  • Publish and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and executive review documents
  • Identify patterns in data and relate them to business outcomes
  • Act as an SME for BI tools
  • Perform regular system audits
  • Invent new ways to define and measure program effectiveness

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, Intel & Reporting

Python
  • 4+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, data visualization, financial modeling, and/or statistical modeling
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL and manipulating large data sets in a database
  • 5+ years of advanced proficiency in Excel and data analytics tools such as Quicksight or Tableau
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline; or 8+ years of relevant industry experience
