Description For Business Intelligence Engineer, Inventory Accounting Team

Join Amazon's Inventory Controllership team as a Business Intelligence Engineer, where you'll work with one of the world's largest datasets to drive financial insights and support operations. This role combines technical expertise with business acumen, focusing on expanding financial data and reporting systems for global inventory financial reporting. You'll design and implement scalable reporting solutions, working with multi-heterogeneous data sources and creating sophisticated data pipelines.

The position offers an opportunity to work in one of the most challenging and exciting spaces within Amazon, dealing with high inventory turnover and seamless integration with Amazon Fulfillment Tech systems. You'll be responsible for building analytical solutions that help drive cost control and decision-making, while working with cutting-edge technologies including machine learning models and Gen AI.

As a BI Engineer, you'll collaborate with business owners and tech leaders to gather requirements, build data pipelines, and create reports/dashboards/automations. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. You'll be instrumental in improving tools and processes, scaling existing solutions, and creating new ones based on stakeholder needs.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $89,600 to $185,000 based on geographic location, plus additional benefits and potential equity.   • Learn, publish, analyze and improve management information dashboards and KPIs
  • Design and automate ETL pipelines for business metrics
  • Partner with stakeholders to define priority of BI projects
  • Perform deep-dives to derive actionable insights
  • Build self-service reporting tools and dashboards
  • Provide SQL support and deliver trainings

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, Inventory Accounting Team

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience using SQL and Python to process data for modeling
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders
  • Experience in discovering business requirements and creating insightful dashboards
