Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join their innovative organization. This role is crucial in ensuring Amazon customers have the best experience throughout the year, especially during high-traffic events.

The position involves working with large-scale data analytics to optimize Amazon's supply chain operations. You'll be responsible for analyzing customer behaviors, system performance, and supply chain metrics while collaborating with diverse teams across product, science, tech, retail categories, finance, and operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end supply chain workstreams
  • Analyzing data across multiple systems
  • Developing business insights through data analytics

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, SCOT - Automated Inventory Management

  • Own a supply chain workstream end-to-end, analyze and synthesize large data streams across multiple systems/inputs
  • Work with Product and Program Managers to understand customer behaviors and spot system defects
  • Develop business insights based on data extraction, analytics, trend deduction & pattern recognition
  • Present business insights to senior management/executives
  • Create advanced dashboards for team consumption
  • Build analytical models to improve business outcomes at scale

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, SCOT - Automated Inventory Management

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse
  • Python scripting experience
