Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is seeking an innovative and strategic Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) for their Time & Distance Authority team. This role involves diving into complex problems and developing solutions to recommend business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a organization-wide view of analytical solutions and think in terms of automation and scalability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining automated reporting and dashboards (especially QuickSight)
  • Writing high-quality SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis
  • Breaking down complex problems and engaging with internal partners
  • Adopting best practices in reporting/analysis
  • Managing through conflict with a positive attitude
  • Communicating analysis results clearly to peers and business partners

The Time & Distance Authority is an internal Amazon service providing authoritative data on time and distance-based events for pricing, planning, and executing the transportation network.
