Amazon's Cross Channel Marketing Insights Team (XCMI) is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to drive analytics and insights for Amazon Retail and Prime fixed marketing. This role sits at the intersection of advanced analytics, research expertise, and engineering innovation, supporting global Cross Channel Marketing initiatives across 10+ marketplaces.

As a key contributor, you'll shape how Amazon understands and engages with customers globally by building innovative solutions that transform complex data into actionable marketing insights. The role involves working with large-scale, complex datasets and requires expertise in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipelines.

The team serves as Amazon's center of excellence for marketing insights and measurement, focusing on crucial areas including global brand health measurement, structural equation modeling, marketing effectiveness analysis, customer lifecycle insights, and machine learning-driven marketing analytics.

Based across multiple global locations including Seattle, Arlington, London, New York, and Bengaluru, you'll have the opportunity to work with senior leadership and shape Amazon's marketing strategy through data-driven insights. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $89,600 to $185,000 based on location, plus comprehensive benefits and potential equity compensation.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, XCM Insights

  • Interface with business partners, architect, design, implement, and support BI projects & tools
  • Derive insights and shape important, worldwide business decisions
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in analysis and reporting, data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
  • Support leadership team with deep-dives and insights to improve performance and productivity
  • Drive data-driven marketing decisions across 10+ marketplaces

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, XCM Insights

Python
  • 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python)
