AWS Utility Computing (UC) is seeking a talented Chip Design Engineer to join their innovative semiconductor platform development team at Annapurna Labs. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies that power AWS, the world's largest cloud provider. As a VLSI engineer on the Nitro project, you'll be responsible for developing next-generation semiconductor platforms based on revolutionary architecture.

The position involves working with state-of-the-art chip design, from product definition to mass production, impacting millions of servers worldwide. You'll be part of the team developing foundational services like S3 and EC2, while supporting specialized security solutions for cloud services. The role requires collaboration with multiple teams, including Architecture, Software, Verification, Backend, and DFT.

Responsibilities For Chip Design Engineer

  • Full ownership of one or more IPs within the product including micro-architecture, RTL coding and debug
  • Synthesis and timing closure sign-off
  • Supporting Verification and Emulation teams with test plans and coverage review
  • Ensuring chip meets quality and reliability standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Definition, Verification, Software, and Physical design
