Description For CI Engineer, MSP CX Support

Amazon's Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging organization (MSP) is seeking a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their Worldwide Continuous Improvement team. This role is crucial in driving technical improvements across Amazon's robotics and automation systems that power their massive order fulfillment network. The position combines expertise in mechanical engineering, controls, robotics, and automation to enhance the performance of field systems.

The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of hardware and software, analyzing data and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities. They will lead the entire continuous improvement lifecycle, from prototype development to worldwide deployment. This role offers the unique opportunity to impact Amazon's state-of-the-art material handling systems that process billions of orders annually.

Responsibilities For CI Engineer, MSP CX Support

  • Drive technical hardware, software and process improvements of Robotics, Automation and Packaging machines
  • Gather continuous improvement ideas through data analytics and Root Cause Analysis
  • Develop prototypes and run lab tests
  • Build business cases and develop engineering solutions
  • Field testing and planning improvements rollout across WW Robotics network
  • Act as technical Subject Matter Expert in mechanical, controls, robotics and automation
  • Develop and own roadmaps for MSP solutions
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering and project management teams

Requirements For CI Engineer, MSP CX Support

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field (Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
  • 5+ years of experience in a leading Engineering role
  • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and use structured approaches (8D, DMAIC)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive improvement initiatives
  • Proficiency in leading technical collaborations
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management
  • Proficiency in prototyping and testing
  • Strong technical leadership skills
