The Cloud Support Apprenticeship Program is for Australian or New Zealand citizens/ Permanent residents who are passionate about technology and looking to start their career in the cloud. This 24-month program leads to a Diploma in Applied Cloud Technologies and an opportunity to join AWS as a permanent employee as part of a world-class technical team.
Program Details:
- Starts in March 2025
- 2 days a week of virtual classroom training by Swinburne University
- 3 days a week of paid on-the-job training at AWS
- Teams based across Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with network, systems, and software engineers to manage distributed Linux server fleets
- Deploy and monitor systems and automation
- Identify opportunities for improvements in existing frameworks, tools, and processes
- Perform high-quality systems deployment, operations, and optimization
- Maintain responsibility for systems functionality, performance, and configurations
- Apply knowledge of Unix concepts and participate in systems deployment and support
- Contribute to the creation and improvement of support documentation
- Drive issues to resolution with limited guidance from management
Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
- 18+ years of age
- Australian or New Zealand citizen/ Permanent resident
- Year 12 certificate or higher
- Interest in pursuing a career in technology
- Available to start in March 2025 and commit for 24 months
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Cloud computing concepts
