Description For Cloud Support Associate (Database), Support Engineering

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Cloud Support Associate to join their growing team. This role is fundamental to AWS's mission of being Earth's most customer-centric company. As a Cloud Support Associate, you'll be at the forefront of cloud technology, working with AWS's comprehensive suite of services including S3, EC2, AMI, CloudFront, and SimpleDB.

The position offers a unique blend of technical problem-solving and customer interaction. You'll be responsible for handling customer cases through multiple channels, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques, and providing tailored solutions.   • Solve customer cases through various contact channels (telephone, email, web/chat)
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide solutions
  • Drive customer interactions and dive deep into root cause analysis
  • Coach/mentor new hires
  • Develop and present training
  • Partner with development teams on complex issues
  • Write tools/scripts to help the team
  • Work with leadership on process improvement
  • Write tutorials, how-to videos, and technical articles
  • Work on critical, complex customer problems across multiple AWS services

Requirements For Cloud Support Associate (Database), Support Engineering

  • 0-1 years of experience in Linux Systems administration OR Database design and Optimization OR BigData Analysis OR Network administration OR Dev-ops
  • Programming/scripting experience (Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP)
  • Troubleshooting/Support experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge in Networking (TCP/IP, DNS)/Database
  • Basics in OS concepts/Linux/Unix Systems administration
